The Adirondacks have some of the lowest levels of light pollution in the country, so when the stars are out, and the moon is absent, the skies are truly stunning.
This past 4th of July weekend I think I took about 400 pictures, but on Saturday night, we were out watching the stars and I realized that the Milky Way was going to align in the same exact spot that I had captured on September 26th, 2019.
When I finished editing I went back through my hard drives to go find the old picture and it was so much worse than I could have remembered, I think I laughed out loud. I remember being so stoked on the original photo too. I thought it’d be cool to share the progress, and I wonder what things will look like in another 5 years. Hope you enjoy!
